Ideas can be submitted 3-6 weeks after the workshops (view different timing for workshops I and II)

Submitting teams are formed with at least one member from research organizations and one from an implementation partner.

Online idea pitching with an expert panel. (1-2 weeks after end of submission period) 
Instant feedback is given. Funding decision is taken based on:

CHF 20'000+

12 teams will have the opportunity to win CHF 20'000+ of innovation fund to develop ideas further into impactful applications and products. Not selected ideas also have the opportunity to be proposed other development opportunities.

Open Exploration Workshops

"RESOURCE EFFICIENCY"

Our food system is broken and needs urgent re-shaping for how we are using the planet’s resources. 

Exploring and mapping the problem and opportunity space on resource efficiency within the agro-food system. By

  • understanding how resources are used today, why we stick to it, and what this causes 
  • laying out the relevant stakeholders and comprehending who are promoters of change and who likes to keep the status quo

Based on the thorough exploration of the entire problem landscape of today’s resource spillage opportunities will derive.

This open and collaborative setting will make you meet new people from diverse backgrounds, will make you learn more insights and you will find the right partners to actively work on the emerging opportunities.

In a second step, you have the chance to team up with other disciplines and propose concepts for solutions. This happens according to your preference – either in a closed confidential or in an open setting. 

The workshops are the ticket for idea submission to the ideation campaigns of this Innovation Booster. (Participation to workshop, of at least one member of the submitting team is mandatory for idea submission)

A reservation fee of CHF 100,- per participant is asked at registration. This will be refunded after participation.

  • Come with an open mind and a willingness to contribute actively and constructively to the topic at hand
  • Be ready to actively exchange with others in an open innovation and co-creation mode
  • Be prepared to join a multidisciplinary team working on the development of an opportunity
  • Be interested in submitting a project/idea, with a team to the upcoming ideation campaign 
  • Be prepared to pitch in front of an expert jury online (dates announced at registration)
